Sansami Creative Works hosts open auditions for three 2017 summer productions: Spotlight, Tonight!, Spotlight: Late Nite!, and Figaro, from 5 to 8 p.m. May 11 and 12, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 13 at the Champaign County Building, 1512 U.S. Route 68, Urbana, in the conference room B.
Performances of Spotlight! and Late Nite! will take place in Bellefontaine June 9 and 10 at LoCo Art’s Spot for Youth, 130 S. Main St., and in West Liberty June 16 and 17 at The Grove, 123 N. Detroit St.
All performances of Figaro will take place at The Hub at Urbana University July 21, 22, 28 and 29.
Spotlight, Tonight! and Spotlight: Late Nite! feature original sketch comedy written by Logan Boggs and Sawyer Shafer. Figaro was written by Charles Morey, adapted freely from Le Mariage de Figaro by Beaumarchais.
