Ridgemont Board of Education members approved at their Thursday evening meeting an asphalt bid of $63,875 for the new student parking lot located behind the grades pre-K through 12 school in Mt. Victory.
Quality Paving of Belle Center was slated to start the asphalt work Friday. The new parking lot will provide approximately 104 additional parking spaces for daily operations, as previously reported.
Co-interim superintendents Dr. Suzanne Darmer and Ann Harvey also reported in a release that the start of the 2017-2018 school year has gone smoothly. They filled their new positions beginning in August following the resignation of former superintendent Emmy Beeson as she moved to a new position at Tolles Career & Technical Center.
“The staff at Ridgemont is well trained to make each day work,” the interim superintendents said. “Thank you to everyone for making the start successful.”
