Growth mindset grant explored
Riverside Schools Board of Education members approved at their Tuesday evening meeting a summertime project to improve the majority of the parking lots on the school grounds, and also extended a number of teaching contracts and classified staff contracts in preparation for next school year.
Related to the parking lot project, the board approved a bid of $113,500 from H&S Asphalt of Bellefontaine, which includes an $87,550 base bid for the initiative and then $29,950 for the mill and fill for the southeast parking lot lanes. The accepted bid was determined as the lowest and best bid out of four total bids received. Maintenance and Transportation Supervisor Jason Bell said he was pleased with the project coming in under the previously estimated $134,000 cost.
