Art is in the eye of the beholder, local real estate investor and musical director Becky Engel believes. That’s why she chose a nebulous Deep Space Nebula as the subject of her painting for the Logan County Art League’s “Not So Bad Art by Good People” fundraiser.

“I chose the ‘nebula’ because I love artwork that doesn’t have a specific form,” Ms.Engel said. “Perhaps it looks like something else to the viewer? I just hope it makes someone happy.”
Ms. Engel, a real estate professional, said a work by local artist Woody Amidon inspired her home décor; so when he asked her to participate in the event, her answer was an instantaneous “yes.”
“I have an Amidon original in my dining room called Symphony of Color and it inspired the colors I chose for my home décor,” the Windmill Productions show director and producer said.
“I was talking with Woody Amidon one night after Young Frankenstein and he invited me to participate. It seemed like a good use of my time that I might be able to help raise some money to help support the art league. They are all good people and many of them create such incredible artwork.”
