The Holland Theatre’s upcoming season offers a variety of different show types to attract viewers of different audiences.
A renowned jazz guitarist and his friend with equally impressive musical credentials will serve as a signature act for the season, theater director Chris Westhoff said.
On Friday, Oct. 7, the John Scofield Quartet will bring its Country for Old Men Tour to Bellefontaine. In addition to Scofield, the quartet includes Steve Swallow, Bill Stewart, and Larry Goldings along with guest pianist John Medeski of Medeski, Martin and Wood.
The musicians will reinvent classic country melodies in a jazz tradition, Mr. Westhoff said.
Throughout the season, the theater will offer shows for three main audiences — the Roots Series, the Tribute Series and the Windmill Series of community theater.
