DARIN OLSON |
Darin Olson’s participation in the Not So Bad Art by Good People project had an unexpected twist for the Edward Jones financial adviser.
A 10-year-old art kit purchased for his two sons now in college finally has been opened.
His watercolor creation has sparked an interest in painting that he said he is likely to continue.
“For sure I will continue,” the married Bellefontaine resident said. “What has surprised me is how fast time goes when involved in a project.”
His painting pays homage to his hobby of snow skiing and depicts “the beauty of winter in the Rocky Mountains.” He also cites exercising as a hobby.
The painting was his first foray into artistic endeavors.
“I gained a true appreciation for the skill needed by talented artists. Not just in the technical skills of painting, but in how they are able to see a subject in a way most of us do not,” he said.
