Alice Maxine Marker, 97, of Spencer, Ind., formerly of Okeechobee, Fla., and Rushsylvania, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Hospice House, Bloomington, Ind.
She was born in Ridgeway on Jan. 14, 1920, a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Winner LeVally. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Marker on April 21, 2007; two sons, Jerry Marker and John Marker; daughter-in-law, Lyn Marker; sisters, Mable Sloan, Fern Smith, Marjorie Amerine, Mary Patrick and Esther Brugler; and two brothers, Glen and Robert Levally.
Survivors include daughter, Judith Ann (Rex) Means of Spencer, Ind.; sons, Edward Marker of Huntsville and Richard (Marlene) Marker of Bellefontaine; daughters-in-law, Billie Sue Marker of Bellefontaine and Patricia Marker of Stoneville, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was a loving mother and housewife. She and her husband had been EMTs for the Rushcreek Fire Department.
At her request, the body will be cremated and burial is at a later date.
