One of the pioneers of modern day cheerleading, Kim Kellogg-Martin was recently honored for her innovative contributions to the sport.
The Bellefontaine resident and former Ohio State University cheerleader was named a Legend by the Varsity Cheerleading organization.
She was presented her award during an event in Dallas.
“It was a very nice surprise,” said Kellogg- Martin, who serves as a Logan County Family Court Judge. “I was reminded how lucky I was to be surrounded by other very talented cheerleaders across the United States. I told the company’s owner that it was fun to receive the award during my life rather than posthumously. I am also happy that my dad learned of this award before his passing.”
