Holland Theatre representatives reported Tuesday that A.J. Croce’s show Croce Plays Croce previously scheduled for Friday evening has been rescheduled because of health concerns for the performer, but ticket holders will have access to see a different performer for free that evening if they choose.
The Croce Plays Croce show has been rescheduled for a new concert date, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30.
“We regret to inform you that the Croce Plays Croce show scheduled for this Friday has been rescheduled due to unforeseen health issues. A.J.’s doctors have told him that he can’t go on the road at this time,” Holland Theatre Managing Director Chris Westhoff said Tuesday.
“We also understand that this date may present conflicts for ticket holders. If so, we will refund their tickets.
Folks should call the box office or e-mail us directly at office@thehollandtheatre. net for more information.” Westhoff said in the interest of “making lemonade” out of the difficult situation, the theater has secured a last-minute booking with the Columbus-based artist Angela Perley for a concert at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 6.
Doors open at 7:45 p.m.
The show is free to Croce Plays Croce ticket holders as a “thank you” for their patience and understanding, Westhoff said. Simply check-in with the ticket holder’s name in the front lobby.
“Her music spansfolk, country, and rock,” the theater director said of Perley. “She has played alongside acts as diverse as Randy Newman, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and Alison Krauss. We are excited to welcome her and her band back to The Holland.”
For non-Croce ticket holders, the cost is $15 at the door. No pre-sale tickets will be available for the Perley concert, and the show will be general admission.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, contact the box office at (937) 592-9002 or to [email protected].
Ticket holders who will not be able to make Croce rescheduled date should let the box office know by March 30 so that they can release the tickets.
