The driver was transported from the scene of a one-car crash that occurred early Sunday morning in the 800 block of north Main Street.
Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department report Michael Golden, 19, of Lewistown, was northbound about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when he traveled off the right side of the road, and struck a utility pole with the right, front bumper of his vehicle.
According to reports, the motorist was attempting to collect change out of his center console when he lost control.
He was transported by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
The driver was cited for failure to control.
