Indian Lake High School seniors Spencer Klauer and Kevin McLane placed fourth in the recent state ag power diagnostics contest at the University of Northwestern Ohio, and each earned a $5,000 scholarship. In addition, Indian Lake FFA receives its first banner for a top five finish in a contest in more than 20 years.
Spencer and Kevin worked as a team to diagnose and repair two problems on five different pieces of equipment, receiving 20 minutes for each piece of machinery. More than 100 teams competed throughout the state and the ILHS team finished in the top 15 to qualify.
Lance Hill and Koenig Equipment helped to prepare the team, along with Indian Lake FFA/OHP adviser Tanner Schoen.
