Joshua L. Kame, 29, of 3492 County Road 9, was charged Saturday with assault.
At 1:30 a.m., officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to the Comfort Inn, 260 Northview Drive, on a reported fight. They found Kame standing outside with the victim Joseph Meyer of West Mansfield.
Kame admitted hitting Meyer several times over an incident several years ago when Meyer made statements to Kame’s sister. Kame said he was not proud of what he did and apologized for what he did.
Meyer sustained visible injuries including a laceration to the left side of his face. He was evaluated by a Bellefontaine squad and chose to go to Mary Rutan Hospital by private vehicle for treatment.
