Dominque D. Kirkman, 27, of Lima, was issued a summonses for receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in Huntsville Monday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office conducted the traffic stop about 9:20 p.m. on Lima Street at Vine Street in the village with Kirkman’s vehicle.
While speaking with the driver, deputies learned that her driver’s license had been suspended, but she claimed she had work privileges and stated she was driving to work in Columbus.
On the vehicle’s license plate, deputies found that the renewal sticker did not match the license plate number, and the renewal sticker reportedly had been stolen from another vehicle in Lima.
The driver gave consent to search the vehicle, and deputies recovered a metal tin with a white powder substance and also a metal push rod.
The defendant was also issued citations for driving under non-compliance suspension, driving under a 12-point suspension and for the expired vehicle registration.
Her vehicle was towed from the scene and the license plates were seized.
Aggressive dog subdued, owner cited
Matthew W. Moran, 36, of 813 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine, was issued a summons for dog at large Monday following an incident Friday morning.
