J.W. and Nelson Dolan didn’t have to wait until Christmas morning to open their gifts from Santa.

In fact, the Grand Old Elf himself made a special early visit to the boys’ city home to deliver gifts in person Friday.
Amid asking if the boys had been good in school and recounting the meaning behind Christmas, Santa distributed gifts to the boys that included stuffed toys and a football for 5-year-old J.W. and games like Battleship and warm clothes for 12-year-old Nelson.
While the boys thought Santa’s early visit was “pretty cool,” their mother, Carrie Dolan, said it really helped make their family’s Christmas a little brighter.
“It is really a big help and we appreciate it so much,” the mother said.
Members of the Bellefontaine Lions Club selected the boys to visit from recommendations made by staff at the nearby Western Outreach Center, where they regularly participate in programs, club president Mike Coder said.
