2016 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients named

Bellefontaine High School graduates the Class of 2016 during commencement exercises slated for 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, at AcuSport Stadium.
BHS graduate Anxo “Angel” Perez, a former exchange student from Spain, is the featured speaker for the ceremony. He also will be honored among the three 2016 BHS Distinguished Alumni recipients.
The other award recipients include Alexa Costin Ramby and the late Austin E. Knowlton.
The Distinguished Alumni award honors “alumni whose actions and achievements, whether in their professional life or human service to community bring honor and distinction to the academic heritage of Bellefontaine High School.”
Criteria for nomination include at least 10 years since graduation from the school and a demonstration of “significant success in the professional arena or significant contribution in service to community, state or nation.”
