MARYSVILLE — Jeffery H. Scott Martinez, 30, of 505 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine, was indicted last week by a Union County Grand Jury, charged with one count of inducing panic, a felony of the third degree.
Martinez was arrested March 31, one day after he allegedly posted a bomb threat on the wall of a men’s bathroom at the Honda of American Mfg. plant at Marysville. The contractor employed by NEX Transport allegedly threatened to detonate a bomb at 1 p.m. March 30 “near stamping.”
As a precaution, the plant was evacuated. Honda officials estimated a half million dollars in production losses.
If convicted, he faces as many as five years in prison.
