Riverside’s softball team batted through its order twice in the first inning en route to a 24-1 five-inning pasting of Lima Perry on Thursday in Northwest Central Conference play.

The win keeps the Pirates perfect on the season at 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the league.
“We have been off for a week now due to weather and the girls were ready to play,” said Riverside head coach Andy Phelps. “We batted around twice in the first inning to set the tone early and never looked back.”
