Lucas T. Hannah, 36, of Mechanicsburg, was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments after a 3:39 p.m. Saturday traffic stop at Speedway, 329 S. Main St.
Officers on patrol on west Chillicothe Avenue near Detroit Street saw Mr. Hannah make an improper turn and other traffic violations before initiating the traffic stop. During the stop, officers learned Mr. Hannah’s driving privileges were suspended and conducted a search of the vehicle that turned up a bag containing five syringes.
He was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and cited for two counts of driving under suspension and making an improper turn.
• Megan Slayback, 27, of 517 Hamilton St., was charged with possession of marijuana after a 2:43 p.m. Saturday traffic stop at north Detroit Street and west High Avenue.
Officers clocked a car driven by Fabian M. Smith, 33, of Columbus, traveling at 36 mph along a posted 25 mph zone on west Sandusky Avenue at Pratt Street. The officer smelled burnt marijuana and Ms. Slayback turned over a partially smoked joint.
She was issued a summons for the possession charge and Mr. Smith was charged for speeding and driving under suspension. They were allowed to leave with a valid driver.
Motorist charged with OVI
Andrew E. Boday, 27, of 417 Lawrence St., was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for driving too slow and driving under suspension after a 12:50 a.m. traffic stop Sunday.
Officers observed him driving slowly on south Detroit Street and stopping at intersections without traffic control devices. He seemed disoriented and officers conducted field sobriety tests. Those tests indicated the motorist was impaired and he agreed to provide a blood sample for analysis.
He was released to his girlfriend.
