Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report two drivers and a passenger were transported from the scene of a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at County Road 154 and State Route 347.
Drivers Alexander M. Cole, 18, of Kenton, and Ashley M. Courtney, 36, of Lima, were transported by Allen Township EMS and Perry Township EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries after the 4:40 p.m. crash.
A passenger in the Cole vehicle, Matthew W. Adams, 23, of Kenton, was transported by Allen Township EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital, also for treatment of minor injuries.
Deputies said Cole was operating a southbound 2013 Honda Civic on C.R. 154 and stopped at the stop sign at S.R. 347. He then began to turn left onto S.R. 347, and his vehicle was struck by a westbound 2013 Ford Fusion operated by Courtney.
Damage was heavy to both cars, which were towed from the scene. All of the occupants were wearing their seat belts.
Cole was cited for failure to yield when turning left.
• Passenger Katrina Pappas, 13, of Marion, was transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries following a three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies report she was a passenger in a 2022 Hyundai Elantra operated by Alyshia L. Wilson, 36, of Marion.
Kenneth P. Cochehour, 22, of Russells Point, reportedly was operating a southbound 2010 Jeep Patriot on U.S. Route 33 and stopped to turn left onto State Route 274 about 1:05 p.m.
He turned into the path of a northbound Elantra operated by Wilson and her vehicle struck the Jeep.
The Jeep spun in the intersection and struck a 2022 Buick Enclave operated by Kaitlyn S. Baughman, 22, of Belle Center, that was stopped at the stop sign at State Route 274.
Damage was heavy to the Jeep and the Elantra, and moderate to the Enclave. All of the occupants were wearing their seat belts.
Cochehour was cited for failure to yield.
• Donald P. Thompson, 63, of West Liberty, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead related to a non-injury crash about 4:05 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies report he was operating an eastbound 2004 Honda Civic on east Lake Drive near State Route 235 when he struck the rear of an eastbound 2008 Honda Accord operated by Travis M. Schwer, 36, of Lakeview, that was slowing to make a right turn.
The drivers were wearing their seat belts. Damage was light to both vehicles.
