The West Liberty Lions Club is making preparations for the 57th annual Labor Day Festival, which kicks off Friday, Sept. 2, and continues through Monday, Sept. 5, at Lions Park.
Friday evening beings with a classic car cruise-in from 4 to 8 p.m., with pre-registration is available at www.westlibertylions.org.
An ice cream social takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. and a cornhole tournament starts at 8 p.m.
The Country Legends Concert Bent Water Brewing pre-party with Drew Baldridge and Kylie Frey also is from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday.
Saturday kicks off the parade at 10:30 a.m., with staging on the west side of the village and proceeding to the park.
A West Liberty-Salem band concert begins at 12:30 p.m., followed by WL-S show choir performance at 2 p.m.
A kiddie tractor pull is at 1 p.m., and garden tractor pull at 3 p.m. and volleyball tournament at 4 p.m.
The Country Legends Concert takes place throughout the afternoon and evening, on the saloon stage and the main stage. The beer garden is open from 1 to 10 p.m. as well.
Main stage performers include: The Bellamy Brothers, Thompson Square, Terri Clark and Craig Morgan; and saloon stage performers are: The Overdrive Band, Erastus, Taylor Austin Dye and Hasting & Co.

Sunday’s festivities include the antique tractor pull at 10 a.m., wiffle ball tournament at noon, COSI show from 1 to 4 p.m..
The WL-S Class of 1971 meet and greet takes place from 1 to 4 p.m.
Bill Purk & Friends perform from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a Resonance Concert from Cedarville University at 5 p.m.
The community church service begins at 6 p.m., and then Rise FM and Colepak present a Cain Concert at 7 p.m.
Monday is Family Day at the festival, and children’s activities include inflatables and a kids’ scavenger hunt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a cupcake walk at 11 a.m., pilot dogs demonstration at 1 p.m. and strolling entertainers all day.
A pancake breakfast also is served from 7 to 11 a.m., and chicken barbecue by Fat Racks at 11 a.m.
Buckeye Outlaw kart racing begins at 1 p.m., and America’s Beauty & Grace pageant takes the stage at 2 p.m.
Throughout the weekend, the antique power equipment show is featured, along with a flea market and craft tent, food vendors, sawmill demonstrations, duck races and mini golf offered by the West Liberty-Salem cheerleaders, a secure petting zoo, pony rides, barrel train rides and splash pad.
