Keith A. Brantley, 35, of 12146 State Route 720, Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident early Saturday morning at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his address about 12:20 a.m. on a report of a domestic dispute. Brantley’s girlfriend reported that he had been yelling and cursing at her and then he reportedly took the drawers out of her daughter’s bedroom dresser and threw the drawers on the floor, breaking one of them.
Deputies went to speak to the defendant at a neighbor’s property. He reportedly would not answer deputies’ questions about what had occurred that night and told them “just take me to jail.” He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Disorderly conduct charge filed
Larry J. Patterson, 41, of Huber Heights, was charged with disorderly conduct related to an incident Sunday outside of Mimi’s Bar, 147 E. Main St., Russells Point.
Deputies and an officer of the Washington Township Police Department responded to the area about 7:20 p.m. on a report of two men fighting in the street.
The bar owner Anthony W. Boggs, told deputies that Patterson had been confrontational with other patrons and bar staff that evening while the defendant was intoxicated.
Eventually, Patterson was asked to pay his bill and leave.
That’s when a physical confrontation reportedly took place outside. Boggs said Patterson began “squaring up” to him and then took a swing at Boggs, which failed to connect. Boggs then pushed Patterson away from him, which caused Patterson to fall to the ground.
Deputies were able to view cell phone video footage of the incident. Patterson declined to provide a statement about what took place. He showed signs of impairment, and was placed under arrest and lodged in the jail.
