Nancy Eileen Swoke Watson, 69, of Springfield, Tenn., formerly of Bellefontaine and southeastern Ohio, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at North Crest Medical Center, Springfield, Tenn.
Mrs. Watson was born May 11, 1946, in Columbus, to the late Herbert and Norma Wyer Swoke. She also was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Buckmaster.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Timothy Watson of Springfield, Tenn.; sons, Timothy (Marion) Watson of Germany, Thomas (Candace) Watson of West Liberty and Robert (Jacqueline Johns) Johnston of Urbana; daughters, Susan (Kevin) Henry of Batesville, Ind., Lynn Evans of Urbana, Tamara (Steven) Harper of Statesboro, Ga., and Emily (Jason) Huck of McConnelsville; sister, Terri Trautman of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was the co-owner/operator of Country Angel Gifts in Adairville, Ky., and formerly owned the Golden Thimble Gift Shop in Mt. Victory for many years. She previously attended Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine.
Nancy loved antiques, and loved talking to people, especially on the telephone. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she greatly loved. She loved listening to country music and singing.
Pastor Walter Jones officiates a funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home, McConnelsville, where visitation is two hours prior. She will be laid to rest in the Stockport Cemetery.
