Indian Lake’s baseball team took an early lead against Lima Shawnee before using a big fifth inning to blow the game open for a 10-0 win in six innings Tuesday.
The Lakers improve to 3-0 on the season.
Indian Lake started off with two runs in the first inning for an early 2-0 lead.
The Lakers were able to pour in six runs in the fourth inning to jump ahead 8-0. They added two runs in the sixth inning to wrap up a run-rule win.
Caleb Wurster paced the Indian Lake offense by going 2-4 with an RBI, Logan Evans went 2-3 with an RBI, Cayden Whitman went 2-4, Derek Cline was 2-4 with an RBI and Lane Mefford, Trenton Fulkerson and Luke Jackson all had an RBI.
Gavin Lones recorded the win on the mound for the Lakers with seven strikeouts in five innings. He only allowed two hits. He added a double with an RBI at the plate.
Indian Lake travels to London on Friday for a Central Buckeye Conference crossover game.
