Five men admitted felony charges during Logan County Common Pleas Court hearings on Wednesday.
A Toledo man who took advantage of the generosity of a local resident admitted to a charge and was sentenced to local jail time.
Rickie Williams, 35, pleaded guilty to attempted theft of drugs in connection with an April 21 incident in which he took an automobile, prescription medications and electronic devices from Jefrey Hoge who had opened his DeGraff home to the man prior to the thefts.
Mr. Williams was located in Toledo in the early morning hours of April 22 and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and other crimes there.
Local charges of theft and theft of a motor vehicle were dismissed in exchange for the plea.
Judge Mark S. O’Connor proceeded to sentence Mr. Williams to 135 days in the Logan County Jail.
• Nathan Wright, 32, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to theft of drugs;
• Zachary Potter, 30, of Lakeview, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs;
• Keith Whiting, 51, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to domestic violence.
Presentence investigations were ordered for Mr. Wright, Mr. Potter and Mr. Whiting and sentencing hearings were scheduled for Feb. 29.
• Nicky Dolan, 39, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to violating a civil protection order and was placed on the prosecutor’s pretrial diversion program.
