Indian Lake High School sophomore Sierra DeWeese won first place in the District FFA Public Speaking Contest this week. This is the second year in a row she has earned the top spot.
Sierra’s delivery of her original speech about food borne illness qualifies her for the State FFA Public Speaking Contest to be conducted remotely March 6.
She competed virtually against several other students from the school’s FFA District, which includes Clark, Madison, Champaign, Union, Logan, Delaware, Marion and parts of Hardin and Morrow Counties.
Sierra is a member and officer of the ILHS/Ohio Hi-Point FFA Chapter.
