The Benjamin Logan High School Career and Technical Education department conducted their annual service project for CTE Week in a unique effort this year that highlights local history and landmarks and also gives back to the community.
The agriculture, family consumer science, digital design, computer science, and business students worked together to develop an activity book highlighting Logan County.
A total of 350 of the activity books, along with colored pencils, will be donated to local nursing homes for residents to enjoy. Students also wrote personal notes to the nursing home residents to accompany the activity books.
“Our students really know how to bring sunshine into the lives of our nursing home residents. These activity books with personal messages will bring smiles to many of our local community members,” Lois Stoll, BLHS family and consumer sciences instructor.
Career and Technical Education Week is a public awareness campaign that takes place each February to celebrate the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs in schools.
