Benjamin Logan’s girls basketball team fought off a scrappy Mechanicsburg squad Monday to grab a 65-59 non-league victory over the host Indians.
The Raiders improve their record to 16-3 as the Indians slide to 4-13.
Standout sophomore Nikki Current paced the Raiders with 26 points and eight assists. Current is presently second in scoring in the Central Buckeye Conference with 22.5 points per game.
Hayley Boysel has also been a big weapon for the Raiders this season, and she continued her strong play Monday with 14 points and seven steals. Coreen Crosby added nine points and nine rebounds.
It was a closely contested first half as the Raiders took a 32-29 lead into halftime.
