Ethel M. Bauman, 96, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, in Belle Springs Nursing and Rehab, Bellefontaine.
She was born in Union County, on Aug. 31, 1924, the daughter of the late Forrest R. and Lucy V. (Smith) Johnson.
On Oct. 25, 1940, she married Harry A. Bauman in Pike County, and he preceded her in death in 1975. She is also preceded in death by three daughters, Marian L. Clarkson, Vickie A. Hissem, and Sherry Lea Wynn, and two sons, Larry R. Bauman and Robert P. Bauman, two brothers, six sisters, and one grandchild.
She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Fryling of Fernley, Nev., and Karen K. Corral of Bellefontaine, a son, William F. Bauman of Rushsylvania, 27 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Ethel worked as a certified home health aide for more than 40 years and enjoyed reading books and doing puzzles.
There are no public services planned for Ethel and private interment will be in Rushsylvania Cemetery.
