F. Margaret Payne Eastman, age 93, of West Mansfield passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at Belle Springs Nursing Home.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, great great grandmother, a source of great pride and happiness for her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was employed for over 25 years with Essex Wiring in Kenton and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mary Chapter #9. She enjoyed watching her boys play baseball, cooking, sewing and loved being surrounded by her family.
She was born June 28, 1927, in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Cecil and Katherine Reed Hardy. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ora “Bus” Payne and Ralph Eastman, two sons and one daughter, two granddaughters, a great-granddaughter, one sister and four brothers; two son-in-laws.
Survivors include her five children; Bob (Shirley) Payne, John Payne each of Bellefontaine; Myron (Randi) Payne, West Mansfield; Sue Prater of Bellefontaine and Margaret “Peg” (Steve) Ball, Dayton; 27 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be Friday, January 15, at 6 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
