Nancy Hodies Parker, 73, of Winter Park, Fla., passed away on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 after a lengthy illness in Orlando, Fla.
Nancy was born in Bellefontaine, on Aug. 2, 1947, to the late Perry Hodies Sr. and Rachel May Hodies. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband James H. Parker III, her brother Perry Hodies Jr., and brothers-in-law William Rhode and Carroll Allen.
Nancy is survived by sisters Charlotte Rhode of Delaware, Ohio; Patricia Allen of Huntsville; sister-in-law Barbara Hodies of Lake Placid, Fla.; nieces Rebecca Allen of Lakeview; Carol (Alan) Souza of Urbana; Christie (Todd) Marker of Delaware, Ohio; Paula (Phil) Brantley of Baton Rouge, La.; and nephews, Perry (Sherri) Hodies III of Key West, Fla.; Bruce Hodies of Key West, Fla; Steve (Patty) Rhode of Lynnfield, Mass. and numerous great nephews and nieces. Nancy is also survived by her partner of several years, Ben Harmon of Winter Park, Fla.
Nancy graduated from Miami Senior High School and attended Valencia Community College in Orlando, Fla., and was employed by the Planning Department of the City of Orlando until her retirement in 2010.
Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made in Nancy’s name to any local animal shelter.
