Charlotte Louise Dille, 88, of Bellefontaine, died at 3:18 AM Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020 at Belle Springs Nursing and Rehab.
She was born in Marysville on Nov. 20, 1932, a daughter of the late Gerhard and Mary Florence Marshall Daum. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Gerhard Daum.
On Jan. 19, 1969, she married William Dale Dille at the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death March 2, 2014.
Survivors include a daughter, Andrea J. (Stephen E.) McIntyre of Houston, Texas; nephews Rodney E. Daum of Bellefontaine, Randall G. Daum of Reynoldsburg, and Terry A. Daum of Clermont, Florida; and niece Twila L. (Mark) Aldo of Reynoldsburg. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Carol J. (William A.) Troth of Bellefontaine.
Mrs. Dille was a 1950 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for the Sloan Insurance Agency, Dille Building Supply Inc., and the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, from where she retired in 1997.
She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine, where she was active in numerous church activities, most notably the children’s department, where she taught Sunday School for several years. Mrs. Dille was a member of the Fidelis Class, as well as the Christian Women’s Fellowship, and participated in many bible study programs. She also served as a Stephen Minister.
Rev. Kevin C. Greenwald officiates a funeral at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service. Burial is in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
