Benjamin Logan’s wrestling team placed all 14 of its wrestlers Saturday on its way to winning the Utica Invitational.

The Raiders had every wrestler that competed finish in the top six, including five champions.
The Raiders ran away with the 12-team tournament after scoring 317.5 points. Berkshire took the runner-up spot with 206 points, host Utica was third with 169.5 points and Gahanna Lincoln was fourth with 156 points.
“We finished the tournament how we intended to from the first match,” said BL head coach Kyle Seeley. “The team wrestled with intensity and focus throughout the day and that resulted in finishing on top.”
Winning titles for Ben Logan were Jayden Sturgell (120), Joel Abbott (145), Steele Boysel (170), Noah Clark (195) and Cadman Roose (285).
Sturgell went 4-0 with four pins, Abbott dominated by going 5-0 with five pins in under 1:24, Boysel went 5-0 with three pins, Clark went 4-0 with three pins and a tech fall and Roose went 4-0 with four pins in under 1:47.
“I’m very proud of Jayden and Joel for winning the first tournaments titles of their careers,” said Seeley.
Earning runner-up finishes were Chris Raterman (132) and Henry Myers (138). Raterman went 3-1 and lost in the finals by pin, while Myers went 4-1 with his only loss coming by an 11-9 decision.
Placing third for the Raiders was Owen O’Brien (113) and Levi Hunter (126), with fourth-place finishes coming from Kade Thomas (106), Garrett Henry (160) and Connor Whitt (182).
Adding a fifth-place finish was Matthew Beikman (152) and a sixth-place finish came from Matthew Creamer (220).
Ben Logan hosts the Raider Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
“Next weekend is our home invitational and we are excited at the opportunity to wrestle well in front of a home crowd,” said Seeley. “Hopefully, well enough to bring home more individual and team hardware.
