Calvary Christian’s girls basketball team handled East Dayton Christian 57-32 on Friday in an Ohio Valley Christian Conference game.
The Spartans improve to 11-2 overall and 5-1 in the OVCC.
“While our defense has been strong for us over the years, our offense has made huge strides this season,” said Calvary head coach Eli Carter. “Ruth Boy has stepped up in a major way taking pressure away from Elisha Carter and opening Elisha for her mid-range game. I am very excited what I’m seeing on the basketball court.”
Calvary Christian led 16-6 after the opening quarter and stretched its lead to a 26-15 score at halftime. The Spartans outscored EDC 31-17 in the second half to secure the win.
Elisha Carter powered the Spartan offense with 30 points and seven steals, Ruth Boy had 12 points and Erin Young chipped in six points.
