Triad’s boys basketball team surrendered a fourth-quarter rally by visiting Cedarville on Tuesday as the Indians came from behind for a 73-61 Ohio Heritage Conference win.
The Cardinals fall to 1-9 overall and 0-7 in the league. The Indians improve their mark to 10-2, 8-1.
Triad played well in the first half for a 40-36 halftime advantage.
The Cardinals continued to keep the lead in the third quarter after a 15-14 run, making it a 55-50 score.
Cedarville came roaring back in the fourth quarter with a 23-6 run to overtake the Cardinals.
Dillon Nott sparked the Cardinals with 17 points, Ayden Spriggs tallied 14 points and Ayden Sandford and Batai Lease each had eight points.
In junior varsity action, Triad held off Cedarville 39-34. Jacob Warner had a double-double for the Cardinals with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Triad hosts West Jefferson today in an OHC makeup game.
