Calvary Christian’s girls basketball team handled host Dayton Temple Christian 52-34 on Friday in an Ohio Valley Christian Conference game.
The Spartans improve to 7-1 on the season and 3-1 in the OVCC.
“We did a fantastic job tonight with balanced scoring,” said Calvary head coach Eli Carter. “Having three players scoring in double figures shows tremendous growth for our team.
“For a freshman, Hannah Marlow was huge and if she continues to battle like she did tonight, we will be a scary team to face in the future. I’m very proud of her and how we came to play.”
Calvary Christian took an 18-7 lead after the first quarter and never trailed again the rest of the game.
Elisha Carter and Marlow both had 18 points to fuel the Spartan offense. Ruth Boy recorded 10 points and Marjorie Boy tallied 11 rebounds.
Calvary Christian travel to Lima Temple Christian today.
