Mark E. Zimmer, 56, of West Liberty passed away Monday, Dec. 16 2019, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mark was born May 17, 1963 in Dayton to Kenneth E. and Susan Olivia (Focht) Zimmer. On Sept. 5, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Crenah K. Martin.
Mark was a Sergeant on the Dayton Police force serving faithfully for over 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, golf, hockey and training dogs. Mark was a member for many years with the Antioch Funsters of Huntsville and the Masonic Lodge of Bellefontaine #209. He loved spending time with his family, his pets and his friends. Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Crenah K. Zimmer; daughters, Amber Snyder and Katie (Cory) Cooper; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Allison, Sierra, and Grayson Edward; great-granddaughter, Sawyer Jo; father, Kenneth E. Zimmer; sister, Tammie Zimmer; brother-inlaw, Charles (Debi) Martin; sister-in-law, Lori Martin; mother-in-law, Lillian Martin; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sue Olivia Focht; daughter, Brandi Lee; brother, Michael Zimmer; father-in-law, Charles Martin Sr.
A funeral service begins at noon, Friday, Dec. 20 2019, at Jennings Farley and Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial takes place in Highland Memorial Cemetery following the service.
