Three county residents were injured — one critically — and remain in a Columbus hospital today after a crash about 11:40 p.m. Friday on County Road 130 north of County Road 91.
Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report Chad Minnich, 36, of Russells Point, was driving a northbound 2000 Dodge Neon on C.R. 130 when it traveled off the right side of the road and struck a sign and a pole before coming to rest in a ditch.
Mr. Minnich, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Huntsville EMS to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Two passengers in the car, Amanda Eagy, 22, also of Russells Point, and Sarah Eagy, 25, of Bellefontaine, were taken by Bellefontaine EMS to Grant.
Amanda, who was also wearing a seat belt, was listed in critical condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Troopers suspect alcohol was a factor.
