Two drivers and a passenger were transported by squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on U.S. Route 33.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Phillip Gallyk, 76, of Bellefontaine, was operating a westbound sport utility vehicle about 1:55 p.m., attempting to cross U.S. 33 from County Road 57. His vehicle struck an eastbound SUV operated by Beverly Davies, 67, of Russells Point.
The Gallyk vehicle went off the right side of the road, striking a fence.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Gallyk vehicle, Nancy Bidwell, 72, of Bellefontaine, were transported by Bellefontaine and Hunstville squads to the hospital.
All occupants were wearing their seat belts and damage was heavy to the vehicles, which were towed from the scene. Gallyk was cited for failure to yield.
