UPDATE
A Lakeview man and a mother and her son from London, Ohio, were killed in a crash that was reported at 6:03 p.m. Friday on State Route 117 near County Road 96.
Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Clayton Stump, 41, of Lakeview, was northbound in a 2007 Toyota Tundra when his pickup truck was struck head-on by a southbound 2013 Dodge Caravan minivan driven by Erik Snyder, 19, of London.
Stump was pronounced dead at the scene.
Snyder, as well as passenger in the minivan, his mother, Kelly Snyder, 50, of London, also were pronounced dead at the scene.
A driver and passenger in another vehicle also sustained injuries.
Corey Cummins, 28, of Bellefontaine, was northbound in a 2006 Acura TL that also sustained heavy front-end damage. He was taken by LifeFlight to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima and is currently listed in stable condition. A passenger in that car, Timothy Allen, 33, of Bellefontaine, was taken by a Huntsville squad to Mary Rutan Hospital, and was later transferred to OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
A fourth vehicle made an evasive maneuver to avoid the crash, traveling off the right side of the roadway. The female driver of that minivan was not injured.
The crash, the first fatal one of the year in Logan County, remains under investigation.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene Friday of a head-on crash involving four vehicles that occurred on State Route 117 near the intersection of County Road 96 across from Hurley Farms.

Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are investigating, and were in the process of notifying families of the deceased at press time Friday night.
A son and his mother from London, Ohio, were killed when the southbound minivan the 19-year-old male was driving traveled left-of-center and struck a northbound pickup truck head-on.
That male reportedly was home on spring break from college.
The driver of the pickup truck also was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary reports indicated he was from the Indian Lake area.
The driver of another northbound vehicle sustained serious injuries, and was transported by LifeFlight to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Huntsville EMS transported another individual to Mary Rutan Hospital.
One male witness reported at the scene he saw the crash, stopped and initially tried to help.
“There was no pulse,” the man said, tears welling up.
State Route 117 was closed for about four hours Friday between state routes 274 and 235 as crash reconstruction teams investigated. It reopened shortly after 10 p.m.
A witness that had been following the minivan reportedly told law enforcement that the van had traveled left-of-center at least once prior to the crash.
Richland Township EMS, BMRT and Bellefontaine Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
The Ohio Department of Transportation also assisted with traffic control.
