Driver Sean Davis, 18, of Bellefontaine, and passenger Kimberly Elliott, 18, both of Bellefontaine, were flown by CareFlight and MedFlight helicopters to the OSU Wexner Medical Center for injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies report Davis was operating a westbound car about 12:40 p.m. on County Road 57 and reportedly crossed the westbound lanes of U.S. 33. She then failed to yield the right of way when entering the eastbound lanes and was struck by a southeastbound sport utility vehicle operated by Mark Borchers, 69, of Huntsville.
Mr. Borchers and his passenger, Michelle Borchers, 66, of Huntsville, also were transported by Robinaugh and Huntsville squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene. Deputies continue to investigate the crash, with citations pending.
