Her car then overturned into a field. Ms. Martin was transported by Huntsville EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Then at 5:01 a.m., Tracey S. Martin, 43, of Belle Center, was operating a northbound sport utility vehicle that struck the utility pole that was in the roadway from the first crash. He was wearing his seat belt and did not report any injuries.
About the same time, Jessica N. Myers, 27, of Lakeview, also was operating a southbound minivan when her vehicle also struck the utility pole. She was transported by BMRT squad to Lima Memorial Hospital.
Deputies suspect alcohol use in the Myers crash. Each of the crashes remain under investigation, and no citations have yet been filed.
