Betty Dolan, 27, of Bellefontaine, was charged with a felony county of identity fraud and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 7.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol about 8:05 p.m. on U.S. Route 33 near Township Road 94 and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.
The officers made contact with the occupants and requested their identification. The backseat passenger, later identified as Dolan, reportedly provided officers with a false social security number and name.
A consent search was conducted on the vehicle. Next to where Dolan was sitting, a glass crack pipe was located. A records check found that the defendant had numerous drug-related arrest warrants.
Dolan was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail. Officers of the Russells Point Police Department assisted at the scene.
• Patricia Tippie, 27, of Lima, was charged with a felony count of possession of drugs related to a traffic stop the evening of Thursday, Dec. 8.
Officers on patrol on U.S. Route 33 near Township Road 94 about 9:10 p.m. and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for only having one headlight.
Upon making contact with the driver, Tippie, officers observed an open container of beer inside of the vehicle.
A probable cause search was conducted. Inside of the vehicle, officers located methamphetamine in the defendant’s purse.
Tippie was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail. She also was cited for driving without a license and driving under suspension.
