Christopher S. Lee, 30, of 4478 Napoleon St., Apt. T9, Huntsville, was charged Wednesday with abduction and served a warrant for failure to appear.
Around 4:55 a.m., a 23-year-old woman from Powell called officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department claiming she was held against her will at Comfort Inn, 260 Northview Drive. She was able to escape and get to her car. She was en route to the police department as she made the call.
The victim told officers Lee was a former co-worker and she agreed to meet as friends as they regularly do for a movie and a few drinks afterward. She agreed to returned to his room at Comfort Inn rather than attempt to drive home around 1:30 a.m. He assured her she could sleep in one bed and he in another.
Lee did not honor his word and laid on top of her. She repeatedly struggled with him and announced she was going home, but Lee was able to allegedly restrain her.
After she was able to break free and flee the room and motel, Lee also fled in his vehicle. However, he returned and was taken into custody.
Officers report he was heavily intoxicated.
