Jennifer L. Kilgore, 30, of Lima, was charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments and two counts of possession of drugs following a traffic stop in the Chippewa area Thursday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office observed her vehicle in the area of Eagle Path in Chippewa about 4 p.m. During a check, they found the driving privileges of the registered owner, Ms. Kilgore, were suspended.
A traffic stop was initiated, and suspicious behavior was observed from the driver. During a search of the vehicle, two separate stashes of suspected cocaine were located, along with a glass pipe and packaging materials.
Ms. Kilgore also was cited for driving under suspension and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Weather-related crashes reported this morning
Deputies and troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol have responded to several reports of weather-related crashes and slide-offs in various areas of Logan County, beginning about 6:30 a.m. today.
At least two injury crashes have been reported. Roadways were cold overnight, and wet weather this morning caused some of the roadways to freeze, deputies report.
Among the crash locations this morning included County Road 28 at County Road 153 and a crash at state routes 274 and 273 with entrapment.
Wallet reported stolen from vehicle
Joshua Foreman, 213 S. Miami St., Quincy, reported Tuesday that his vehicle had been entered and his wallet had been stolen.
Deer crash logged
Victoria L. Kesler, 29, of Bellefontaine, did not report any injuries after her vehicle struck a deer about 6 p.m. Thursday on Township Road 185 just east of County Road 1. Damage was light to the vehicle.
