HENSLEY |
A city resident was charged with a felony count of kidnapping Tuesday after an incident at her address, 198 McKeestown Road, where she allegedly injured her mother and would not let her leave the home.
Lisa D. Hensley, 42, was arrested about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at her home and was booked into the Logan County Jail, and was served two warrants from Champaign County, deputies of the Lgoan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Deputies were dispatched to the area about 5 p.m. to speak with her mother, Marcella Fogle, 60, who lives at the same address and had fled to a neighbor’s house.
Deputies noted that Ms. Fogle was visibly shaking and upset. She reportedly sustained visible injuries, including a bruise to her forehead, bumps to the back of her head, fingermarks on her arm and injuries to her back.
She told them she was awakened by her daughter about 5 a.m. that day knocking on her bedroom window.
Ms. Fogle said her daughter then began to consume a bottle of vodka that day, and also allegedly smoked cocaine. Throughout the day, the defendant allegedly punched at her mother multiple times in the head, threw her to the ground on several occasions and made threats against her.
Ms. Fogle said her daughter took the house phone and a cell phone away from her so she couldn’t call for help. After multiple times trying to leave the residence, Ms. Fogle was finally able to leave for her neighbor’s house late in the afternoon.
The defendant was placed under arrest.
