TAYLOR |
Loretta Taylor, 46, of New Carlisle, was charged with a felony count of disrupting public services, along with felony theft and misdemeanor counts of assault and trespassing following an incident Friday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched about 5:50 p.m. to 11152 Tecumseh Path, Chippewa, Lakeview. A woman at that address reportedly would not allow paramedics into the home after a resident there had called 911 for medical assistance.
When deputies arrived, Ms. Taylor at first refused to allow them in the home.
Once she allowed deputies into the residence, resident Glenn Sammons, 49, said he had called for a squad and that Ms. Taylor had been interfering. He said he previously had asked her to leave his residence.
While placing the defendant under arrest, deputies recovered several stolen items in her purse, including 12 $2 dollar bills, several $1 silver certificates, a ring and gold bracelet.
Mr. Sammons had reported to deputies earlier that week that items from his historic paper currency collection were missing.
Ms. Taylor was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
