Dellzell Chenoweth, 57, of 430 N. Oak St., Lakeview, was charged with criminal trespass, resisting arrest, aggravated menacing, obstructing official business and making false alarms as a result of an incident Monday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 6 p.m. to 410 N. Oak St., to speak with residents there about issues they were having with Chenoweth. Thursday, deputies also had handled with a complaint involving Chenoweth from a different neighbor.
Monday night, residents said Chenoweth came onto the 410 N. Oak St. property and began yelling at individuals there. A resident told deputies she did not feel safe in her home because of Chenoweth’s actions.
About 8 p.m., deputies received another call regarding the defendant harassing individuals at the same residence outdoors while they were having a cookout.
Deputies went to Chenoweth’s residence and attempted to speak to her, but she refused to answer her door and instead began taking pictures of deputies through the glass of the doorway. The defendant then reportedly called 911 a total of four times and demanded to speak with a supervisor, with no active emergency. She told dispatchers to get the deputies off her porch.
About 10:30 p.m., deputies responded back to the residence on a report of Chenoweth wanting to speak with deputies outside. She initially resisted deputies’ efforts to place her under arrest. Deputies observed an odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath. She was transported to the Logan County Jail.
Dog struck by vehicle on T.R. 52
Dallas T. Ball, 24, of Lakeview did not report any injuries after his eastbound car struck a dog that ran onto Township Road 52 near State Route 235 about 5:50 a.m. Monday.
Damage was light to the car, and deputies at the scene were uncertain of the identity of the dog owner.
