WL-Salem girls win Triad Invite
West Liberty-Salem’s girls junior high cross country team dominated the Triad Invitational on Tuesday, while the Tiger boys came in second.
The Tiger girls had four of the top five finishes to win with 19 points, Urbana was second with 70 points and Tecumseh came in third with 83 points.
North Union won the boys meet with 57 points, WL-Salem came in second with 69 points and Benjamin Logan finished third with 134 points.
WL-Salem saw Katelyn Stapleton win the race (11:54). Megan Adams was second (12:35), Madison Bahan was third (13:13), Hallie Smith was fifth (14:03) and Mandilyn Weaver was ninth (14:14).
