West Liberty-Salem’s girls track and field team started the season off with a win Saturday by claiming the title at the Tippecanoe Invitational.
The Tigers won the 17-team meet with 132.5 points. Greenville was second with 95 points and Dunbar was a close third with 92 points.
“The girls were excited to put their preseason work to the test and compete Saturday,” said WL-Salem girls head coach Ann Vogel. “I was pleased with the overall effort and energy of the team and the way the girls battled the elements.”
