The winter walking program at the Bellefontaine Elementary School begins Jan. 4 and runs through March 2.
The activity, designed as a way for adults to walk during the cold winter months, is organized by the Bellefontaine Joint Recreation District, Mary Rutan Hospital and the Healthy Habits Healthy You program.
The academic wing of the elementary school is open from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday
Prizes will be given at the end of the program for the most recorded laps walked.
A representative of the Walk with A Doc program will also be available each Wednesday to lead warm-up exercises, walk with participants and provide encouragement.
